General Questions and Details
When should I schedule my newborn session?
Before your baby is born! Capturing your newborn between day 5 and Day 12 if possible, while they are still sleepy and curled up, can make for the best newborn portraits. I understand we never really know when your little one will arrive so I will put you on my calendar to hold a spot for you. When your baby is born contact me and we will schedule a the official session.
If your baby came early (like mine) or if your baby is already born, there is no need to worry! Contact me and I will do my best to squeeze your newborn into schedule and older babies take beautiful portraits too.

How long will my newborn session last?
Between two and four hours. Most babies are around 2.5 hours. Multiples can takelonger. But, I never know how the baby will do in terms of how sleepy they are, how easily they’ll settle into poses, etc. Your baby truly will run the show and dictate how fast or slow I will be working.

What should baby wear?
Newborns photograph best without any clothes at all. I encourage you to bring special, personal items which make the session and images especially sentimental (tell me in your questionnaire that you would like to use it) but you do not need to bring clothing or props for your session. I have clothing, blankets, bonnets, headbands, etc for your baby.

Can I book a family session with you?
Totally! Although I specialize in newborn photography, I still love to take photos of families. Contact me any time to book a family session!

Where are all the props?
Sure, bonnets, hats, bows, and tiny clothes are adorable but, I want your baby to stand out, not feel like a prop. My favorite images of my own babies are ones where they are the center of attention. Those are the images I hold dear, and I want to create those same images for you.
